Anyone ever build a classical with a redwood top? I like the look, but unsure of similarities to WRC. I have used redwood for an OM and really liked the result. Any thoughts? |

I have not done it myself but there are a number of redwood-topped classicals out there. I believe Robert Ruck used it frequently. I haven't played with Redwood and WRC tops side by side, so I have no impression to offer. |

I'm working on a pair with redwood tops and a buddy also built one from the same flitch and claimed it was the best sounding guitar he ever built. Mine tends to split when thin so closer to 3mm is probably safer. Glenn |
